Reining, a western performance event designed to show the athletic abillty of a ranch type horse in a show ring setting, is enjoyed by equine enthusiasts world wide. Pat St-Onge, specializing in reining horses, has enjoyed success in this event nationally as well as internationally. As a member of team Canada he performed at the FEI recognized 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain and contributed to his team's success as silver medalists.
Pat's program is geared to the high dollar futurities and derbys for three, four, five and six year old reining horses. He has enjoyed success in events sanctioned by the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) as well as prestigious events approved by the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). He is known for producing highly trained consistent performers with staying power. Many of Pat's past futurity and derby mounts are still going strong today and can be found winning across the country. They include such great horses as Slip Me Another Kiss, The Kids Got Style, Brink Cody, Rough Country, Dunits Lil Peppy, Hickaboom and many more.
As a past NRHA approved judge, Pat knows every aspect of this event. As a sought after clinician (Pat has given clinics all over the World including England, Canada and the United States), Pat also has the ability to teach and coach. His program offers the opportunity for reining enthusiasts to participate at every level, from the owner enjoying success while sitting in the stands to the non pro competitor successfully competing in the show pen.
